Android Devices: Option 1

Step 1: Launch your Google App and click ‘Settings.’

Step 2: Go to ‘Accounts & Privacy’ and click ‘Google Activity Controls.’

Step 3: Go to ‘Location History.’

Step 4: Uncheck the ‘Use Location History’ box to stop Google from tracking your movements.

 

Android Devices: Option 2

Step 1: Select ‘Your Timeline’ in ‘Settings.’

Step 2: Click the three dots on the top right-hand corner of the screen and select ‘Settings.’

Step 3: Scroll down and find ‘Location Settings.’

Step 4: Tap ‘Location History is on.’

Step 5:  On the pop-up window that appears, tap the check mark next to ‘On’ to turn off the ‘Location History is on.’

Step 6: Click ‘Ok’ on the window that pops up.

 

Apple iOS Devices

Step 1: Sign in to your Google account and go to ‘Settings.’

Step 2: Click ‘Location History’ and turn it off.

Step 3: Scroll down the Settings’ menu to ‘Maps History’ to erase your history.

Step 4: Click ‘X’ next to the locations you wish to delete as there is no option to delete everything at once.

Step 5: To turn off ‘Location Data Collection,’ tap ‘About Terms and Privacy’ under ‘Settings.’
